Terms of service

These terms of service (“Terms”) govern your use of the website, software and services offered by Trippi Ltd (“Trippi”, “we”, “us”) (together, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. Eligibility and account

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering a binding contract to use the Services. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide and for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.

2. The Services

Trippi provides tools to help users track and manage business mileage, including integrations with third-party calendars where available. Features may change over time. We do not provide tax, legal or accounting advice; outputs are for your information only and you remain responsible for your own tax and reporting obligations including to HMRC.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Services in breach of law or regulation;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users’ data;
  • reverse engineer, scrape or resell the Services except as permitted by law;
  • upload malware or content that infringes others’ rights;
  • use the Services in a way that could damage, disable or impair them.

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms.

4. Third-party services

The Services may integrate with third parties (e.g. Google, Microsoft, DVLA data providers). Your use of those services is subject to their terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control.

5. Intellectual property

The Services, including software, branding and content (excluding your data), are owned by Trippi or our licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Services for your internal business or personal use in line with these Terms. You retain ownership of data you submit; you grant us a licence to use that data to operate and improve the Services as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Fees

If we charge fees for part of the Services, pricing and payment terms will be presented at purchase or subscription. Unless stated otherwise, fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

7. Disclaimer

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free.

8. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

Subject to that, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for claims arising out of or relating to the Services in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of £100 and the amount you paid us for the Services in that period (if any).

9. Indemnity

You will indemnify and hold harmless Trippi and its officers and employees against claims, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Services, your data, or your breach of these Terms, except to the extent caused by our wilful misconduct.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access with reasonable notice where practicable, or immediately if we reasonably believe there is serious breach or risk to security. Provisions that by their nature should survive will survive termination.

UK law requires certain information for consumers; if you are a consumer, statutory rights may apply in addition to these Terms.

11. Changes

We may modify these Terms by posting an updated version on our website. Material changes may be communicated by email or in-product notice. Continued use after the effective date may constitute acceptance. If you do not agree, you should stop using the Services.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory protections for consumers in your country of residence where applicable.
